Free Minnow plan or a paid plan?
The Minnow plan costs $0 and covers up to 100 transactions. Minnow tracks your portfolio and shows a preview of your capital gains. Minnow does not export a tax report. To file Form 8949, you need a paid plan.
Awaken counts only the transactions of the current tax year. Only your 2026 activity sets the plan size. You still get reports for the current year and for past years. A trader with 1,000 transactions in 2026 needs the $199 Dolphin plan. With KB, Dolphin costs $159.20.
Who Awaken suits
Awaken suits people who trade in a wallet more than on an exchange. Awaken supports Solana, Hyperliquid, Lighter, Aster and Polymarket. Awaken says it has 500+ crypto integrations. Awaken also says its AI handles 10,000+ dapps. Awaken exports files for TurboTax and TaxACT.

How Awaken bills you
Awaken sells an annual subscription. The pricing page says Awaken never charges you automatically. Each year, you decide if you pay again. CoinTracker, for comparison, renews on its own. The pricing page does not state a refund policy.
Awaken also sells Full Service Bookkeeping from $3,000 per year. We do not know if the 20% discount applies to that service.

Does the code KB work on all Awaken plans?
The sign-up page says "20% off your purchase" and names no plan. We have not bought a plan with KB yet. Please tell us if the 20% is missing at checkout.
Does Awaken Tax have a free plan?
Yes. Minnow is free for up to 100 transactions. You see your gains, but you cannot export a tax report.
Is Awaken Tax worth it?
Awaken is a good match if most of your trades happen on-chain, for example on Solana or Hyperliquid. Check your gains on the free plan first. With KB, paid plans start at $79.20.
