Is the free Koinly plan enough?
The free plan tracks up to 10,000 transactions and shows a preview of your gains. The free plan does not make a tax report. You need a paid plan to get Form 8949 or a file for TurboTax, TaxACT or FreeTaxUSA.
Import everything on the free plan first. Buy a plan when you are ready for the report. Koinly gives a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not generated a tax report yet.
How Koinly charges
Koinly charges once per tax year. Koinly does not charge you again automatically. For tax year 2026, you buy one plan and get the report for that year.
